Who we are
Half Moon Nail is a nail studio at 61 Marianne Way, Mount Waverley VIC 3149, Australia. This policy explains what personal information we collect through halfmoonnail.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
When you sign in with Google: your name, email address and profile picture from your Google account. We do not receive your Google password.
When you book: your mobile number, WeChat name and WeChat ID; the date, time and style you request; your description of the design; any reference photos you upload; and the screenshot of your deposit payment.
When you use the contact form: your name, email, optional phone number and your message.
Technical data: a sign-in cookie that keeps you logged in, a cookie that remembers your language, and standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) kept for security.
How we use it
Only to run your appointments: to review and confirm your booking, prepare your design, contact you about your appointment by phone or WeChat, confirm your deposit, and keep a record of completed appointments. We do not sell your information, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone except the service providers listed below.
Google user data
Customers: signing in with Google gives us only your basic profile (name, email address and profile picture), used to identify your account and show you your bookings.
The studio owner: with the owner’s permission, the site writes confirmed appointments as events into the owner’s own Google Calendar (scope: calendar.events), and updates or removes those events when an appointment changes. It does not read, change or delete any other calendar events, and customers’ calendars are never accessed.
Half Moon Nail’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is not used for advertising, is not sold, is not used to train AI or machine-learning models, and is not read by people except where needed for security, to comply with the law, or with your explicit consent.
Where it is stored
Booking and account data are stored in a database hosted by Neon in Sydney, Australia. Uploaded photos and deposit screenshots are stored privately with Vercel and are shown only to you and the studio owner. The website is hosted by Vercel. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy terms.
How long we keep it
We keep booking records for up to 2 years after your last appointment, then delete them. You can ask us to delete your account and bookings sooner at any time.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information by emailing weiqisophie@gmail.com or messaging us on WeChat. You can remove the site’s access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
If you have a concern about how we handle your information, contact us first; you can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
